I worked with David during the seven weeks I spent in Little Rock in 2005, rehearsing and performing in the Miracle Worker at the Arkansas Repertory Theater. As an actress, I have had and done a lot of bodywork in the past-massage therapy, yoga, Alexander Technique, etc.- but I found the benefits of my work with David to be truly extraordinary. Because there are several fight scenes in the show, which involved me repeatedly lifting a struggling 10-year-old girl (who was playing Hellen Keller), I was experiencing back pain and tightness. David was able to address this, as well as areas of chronic tension and holding in my body.
After a session with David I felt more relief and relaxation in these areas than I have ever felt in the past. The form of massage therapy he practices is far more than the overall "Swedish massage" that most people are familiar with but rather combines precise, focused hands-on work with a detailed understanding of the body and how it moves, to target the underlying causes of pain, tension, and misalignment. That said it is wonderfully relaxing as well.
In addition to all of this David is a caring, funny, and tremendously giving person, Someone I feel honored to have met and to recommend now. He is truly a "miracle worker" in his own right.
